No one can forget the way Gen Z took to the streets in Nepal and ousted the old government and formed the new government of Balen Shah. To change the government, the youth had come out on the streets and protested against the government, due to which there is a new and young government in the country, but now again Gen Z has also taken to the streets regarding the new government. The protest that started regarding the rehabilitation system after the encroachment removal action now seems to be taking the form of a mass movement.
Questions are continuously being raised regarding the action of the government, the role of the police and the situation of the displaced people. Several people have been detained amid the protests, while incidents of self-immolation and flood-hit temporary settlements in recent days have also made the issue more sensitive.
