He is one of the best footballers in the world. Apart from his playing prowess, he is known among his fans for his disciplined lifestyle. Football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo never gives up on a controlled diet. But it cannot be said that he is not a food lover at all. In a recent interview, Ronaldo said that the popular food of his native Portugal, ‘Bacaloh a Brush’, is one of his favorite dishes.
Although this dish is not Indian, the ingredients are so simple that Divya can be made in Bengali kitchens too. But even if the recipe includes salted cod fish, it is not easy to find in India. Pomfret or barramundi fish can be used instead.
Materials
- Salted Cod / Pomfret / Barramundi
- Patilebu
- Potatoes (200 grams)
- Eggs (6)
- Onions (2)
- Garlic (3-4 cloves)
- Olive oil (4 tbsp)
- Black olives (10-12 hours)
- Parsley or cilantro
- pepper
the method
Potatoes should be cut into small but long slices. It can be said that a single piece of potato looks like a stick. Bite and fry and keep aside.
After soaking the dried fish for a while, remove the skin. Bones should be removed and cut into large pieces.
Pomfret or barramundi fish are not as dry as codfish. So before using it in main cooking, it should be prepared. Rub the fish fillet well with salt and lemon juice. Heat a tablespoon of olive oil in a pan and fry the fish fillets in it. After picking up, when it cools down, press it with the help of hand to remove the middle big thorn and small thorn if it remains. The fish body should be broken into large pieces.
Add three more tablespoons of oil to the frying pan. Finely chop the onion-garlic and add it. Stir gently on low heat. Stir in the potato first, and then the fish chunks. When the batter becomes smooth, pour all the beaten egg into it. Add salt and pepper as required. When done, top with black olive slices and parsley or cilantro.
Although this taste is slightly different in Bengali’s mouth, it will be delicious if you make it according to the right rules. Favorite star food can be made at home in this current football season.
