Imran Masood, Congress MP from Saharanpur Lok Sabha constituency of Uttar Pradesh, is famous for his rhetoric. These days his rhetoric is becoming difficult for the alliance of Congress and Samajwadi Party (SP) in Uttar Pradesh. Now Imran Masood has made a direct attack on SP and said that it cannot tolerate a leader of Muslims who speaks. This statement of Imran Masood has come at a time when all is not well between SP and Congress in UP. Imran Masood says that SP should not remain under this misconception, everything is because of him. He also said that in 2024, SP has won 37 seats only on the strength of Congress.

Earlier, SP leader Udayveer Singh had said that Imran Masood should not be taken seriously because any talk of alliance does not happen with him. Udayveer Singh had said that these things are said by the top leadership of both the parties. Responding to this, Imran Masood got enraged and scolded SP. Actually, Imran Masood is among those Congress leaders who sometimes start asking for 100 seats and sometimes 200 seats. Let us tell you that Imran Masood had joined SP just before the 2022 assembly elections but he joined BSP in the same year. Later he joined Congress and won the Lok Sabha elections on its ticket in 2024.

Imran Masood got angry at SP

Imran Masood said, ‘When am I asking them to support me or give me a ticket? Every time they are making the same alliances and alliances. We have our own identity, we are Congress. You got 37 seats only on the strength of Congress. You could not win even 120 seats in 2022. Don’t be under the misconception that everything is because of you. There is an atmosphere in the country and it is under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi. A Muslim leader speaking for the Samajwadi Party is not tolerated. Everyone knows who are the people involved in the treatment of Azam Khan. Azam Saheb used to speak and now he is following me. I am demanding from Congress, I never make alliances. Abdul is the one being beaten, it doesn’t matter to you.

On this, Samajwadi Party leader IP Singh has said that Congress should clarify about this statement. He says, ‘People like Imran Masood are appointed before every election. If Priyanka Vadra came in 2022, Congress got 1 seat. It has been 38 years since Congress was out of UP. It will take 138 more years, existence will end but there will be no return. Imran Masood sometimes goes to SP, sometimes to Congress, I don’t know who is behind them.
