An attempt to snatch a mobile phone in a moving train was unsuccessful, he held his hand from the window and kept it hanging till the next station; accused arrested

Bihar Train Viral Video: In Bihar, a young man who tried to snatch a mobile phone in a moving train was taught such a lesson by the passengers that his video is now going viral on social media. The matter pertains to Janhit Express running on Barauni-Katihar railway section on the night of 9th July.

According to the information, when the train stopped at Mansi railway station, a youth tried to snatch the passenger’s mobile from the coach window. However, the passenger and others immediately held his hand. Even after the train started, the passengers did not let go of the accused’s hand, due to which he remained hanging outside the train and could not free himself till the next station arrived.

Thief hanged from the window of a moving train

According to Khagaria GRP, some of his associates also tried to save the accused, but they could not succeed. When the train reached Khagaria station, the passengers handed over the accused to the Government Railway Police (GRP).

In the viral video, the accused is seen hanging outside the train, while passengers sitting inside are seen holding his hand. This incident has attracted people’s attention on social media. However, police said that neither any passenger nor the accused got injured during this period.

The thief was handed over to the police at the next station.

Khagaria GRP police station in-charge Mohammad Alauddin has identified the accused as Mohammad Fakhruddin alias Chhotu, resident of Navgachia in Bhagalpur district. According to the police, the accused had tried to snatch the mobile while the train was stopped at Mansi station.

After his arrest, he was produced in the court, from where he was sent to judicial custody. Railway Police has appealed to the passengers to remain alert during the journey and immediately report any incident like theft or mobile snatching to the Railway officials or GRP.
