Ex-servicemen were forbidden from speaking
After the case of theft of offerings came to light, the ex-servicemen handling the security arrangements at the temple were instructed not to make any information public. It was told that a message was sent in a WhatsApp group that if anyone asked questions in this matter, no employee should respond. Later the screenshot of this group also surfaced on social media.
Accused of investing the stolen money in the stock market
According to sources, the accused arrested in the case are accused of transferring the stolen amount to their accounts through the accounts of different people (Ram Mandir). It has been claimed that after this the money was used for investment in the stock market, so that the source of the money could be hidden. However, the investigation into these allegations is still going on and the investigating agencies are investigating the links of financial transactions.

The case of alleged irregularities in the offerings of Ram temple came to light in June 2026. The allegation was that the amount offered by the devotees was manipulated. The police had arrested eight people in this case. After the incident, Ram Mandir Trust General Secretary Champat Rai and Trustee Anil Mishra had resigned from their posts, which was later accepted in the Trust meeting.
