The order, passed by Justice Jyoti Singh on July 2 and uploaded on July 6, came in a commercial suit filed by Ravindra Shukla, popularly known as Ravi Kishan, seeking protection of his personality and publicity rights. The actor alleged that his identity was being exploited for commercial gain through fake advertisements, AI-generated content, fabricated statements, vulgar reels and even pornographic material circulating online.
Reacting exclusively to Mumbai Mirror, Ravi Kishan welcomed the court's intervention and said the misuse had not only harmed him personally but had also impacted his family and political image. "I thank the Delhi High Court. It was much needed because there were a lot of fake things against me. A lot of political vendetta was affecting me and my family. There were fake trolls everywhere. I thank the Hon'ble Delhi High Court from the bottom of my heart. It was damaging my reputation and also affecting my party. People were using my voice, my name and my photograph for fake AI advertisements and selling products using my identity. It is a big relief for me," he said.
Ravi Kishan continues to balance cinema, streaming and politics with ease. After earning acclaim for Laapataa Ladies, he has remained active with projects including Son of Sardaar 2 and Dhamaal 4, while also featuring in upcoming films like Mirzapur: The Movie and Aryabhatt Ka Zero.
