New Delhi, 9 July. Government telecom company Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) is soon going to launch a new satellite phone, through which consumers will be able to make calls without any network. BSNL announced its new plan on Thursday.
Price of satellite phone Rs 1.34 lakh
The price of satellite phone has been kept at Rs 1.34 lakh. The aim of this step of the company is to expand satellite communication services so that it can be used in purposes like defence, maritime services and disaster management.
BSNL said in a post on social media on Thursday that the price of this satellite phone is Rs 1,34,166 per unit including all taxes. It is specially designed for use in difficult situations and provides voice calls and SMS services even in remote areas where normal mobile networks cannot reach.
The company said in the X post, ‘When normal mobile networks do not work, BSNL Satellite Phone keeps you connected. It is designed to withstand tough conditions, making it an excellent solution for defence, maritime operations, disaster response, mining, remote operations and adventure travel.
While sharing a mobile number in the post, the company wrote that for more information, users can contact the nearest BSNL office. However, no response was received on that mobile number. A verified account holder on An email sent to BSNL also did not get any immediate response.
