Parthiv Patel told Jio Hotstar, “Not just Jofra Archer, I think anyone who has watched the IPL will not be surprised that a plan has been made to bowl short to Vaibhav Suryavanshi. In the first game, the ball he hit for a six might not have bounced as much, but the line was the same.”
He said, “As Vaibhav Suryavanshi progresses in his international career, he will have to face this type of bowling, which includes short and bowling with a speed of more than 145 km/h. The question is how will he face the short-pitched bowling, as every bowler will try to target him with the same ball.”
Patel said, “I would like to see a better understanding of the game and a little more knowledge of the game from the Indian batsman in Bristol. You can play one or two overs and play well. The conditions are different, the wickets are not as flat, and you have to get used to the size of the ground and the pace of the wicket. So, it is very important to give yourself some time.”
Vaibhav Suryavanshi started his international career in the second T20 match against England. He also played the third T20. Vaibhav has not been able to repeat the extraordinary success he achieved in the IPL in his first two matches at the international level.
