The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has brought a fantastic opportunity for enthusiasts of religious travel and tourism. IRCTC is set to operate two special 'Bharat Gaurav' tourist trains during the months of July and August. These trains will take pilgrims to major religious sites in South India, as well as to four of the country's famous Jyotirlingas and the Statue of Unity in Gujarat. First Bharat Gaurav Train: An 11-night, 12-day journey
The first special tourist train will commence its journey towards the end of July. The complete schedule is as follows:
Travel Duration: Between July 31 and August 11 (11 nights and 12 days)
Departure Point: The train will depart from Gorakhpur and proceed via Prayagraj.
Key Attractions: During this journey, passengers will visit famous temples and religious sites in South India.
Second Bharat Gaurav Train: A 9-night, 10-day journey
For those planning to travel in mid-August, the option of a second train is available. The complete schedule is as follows:
Travel Duration: Between August 17 and August 26 (9 nights and 10 days)
Route: This train will also operate from Gorakhpur.
Key Attractions: Under this tour package, passengers will have the opportunity to visit four sacred Jyotirlingas and see the 'Statue of Unity,' the world's tallest statue.
World-class amenities on board; fares tailored to budgets
According to Vayumandal Shukla, Joint General Manager at IRCTC, comprehensive arrangements regarding safety and amenities—both inside and outside the train—have been made to ensure the journey is comfortable and memorable. Special amenities for passengers
Coach options: To ensure passenger convenience, this special train will include Sleeper Class, 3 AC, and 2 AC coaches.
Fare: IRCTC has fixed distinct, budget-friendly fares for the various classes.
Catering arrangements: IRCTC will handle all catering arrangements, providing breakfast and both main meals throughout the journey.
Local sightseeing: After disembarking at the stations, passengers will have access to AC and non-AC buses for sightseeing and local tours.
Safety and health: Medical facilities will be available on the train around the clock to handle any emergencies during the journey.
