These days the Congress Party is trying to strengthen its organization. In this sequence, the new in-charge of Haryana Congress reached Chandigarh and brought all the leaders of the state on one platform. Leaders’ speeches were held at the Hariya Pradesh Congress Committee office in Chandigarh and the leaders welcomed the new in-charge Sanjay Satishchandran Dutt. During this, there was a conversation on the mic between Randeep Singh Surjewala and former Haryana CM Bhupendra Singh Hooda, due to which the discussion has now intensified in the political circles. Kumari Shailja’s speech has also become a topic of discussion.
Haryana Congress has been dominated by Bhupendra Singh Hooda for a long time. Leaders like Randeep Surjewala and Kumari Shailaja have been against him. Leaders like Kuldeep Bishnoi and Kiran Chaudhary have left the party in protest against Hooda. The victory of the Congress party in the 2024 assembly elections was considered certain but the party lost this election also. Factionalism has also been considered a major reason behind this.
What did Randeep Singh Surjewal say?
Randeep Surjewala raised questions about the continuous defeat of the Congress Party. He said, ‘Social change cannot be achieved without coming to power. This is a bitter truth. There is also a truth that in 56 years the Congress Party has won only three elections. We do not say this to each other but the party has won only three elections. Nothing will happen until we accept this.
Randeep Surjewala explored the old history while talking to Hooda on the stage itself.
He told that many times the party has won the elections. Surjewala said, ‘It has to be investigated why only 3 elections were won in 56 years. Randeep Surjewala said that we say that 60 MLAs have come but why did they not win. Randeep Surjewala mentioned Deependra Singh Hooda and said that vote share does not matter, tell whether 46 MLAs came or not.
Laughed or pulled the leg?
After Randeep Singh Surjewala’s speech ended, Bhupendra Singh Hooda took charge. Bhupendra Hooda referred to Surjewala’s statement in which he had asked to bless Hooda. In this episode, Hooda said, ‘Randeep Surjewala, please support me again and see the blast.’ After this everyone laughed in the entire hall. However, what is seen on political platforms also has many meanings. Many political experts are seeing this as the ongoing factionalism between Hooda and Randeep Singh Surjewala because Surjewala replied to Hooda from the stage itself and said, ‘It has been 20 years since I supported you, now it is your turn to support me, Hooda Saheb.’
What did Kumari Shailja say?
Kumari Shailaja also raised questions as to why the party is not coming to power. Kumari Shailja said that nothing is permanent, only ex is permanent. Shailaja also raised questions on the fact that some leaders have divided the workers so much that the workers are not even saying Namaste to each other. In such a situation the party cannot win the elections.
Congress show of strength
In Haryana, the Congress party was hoping to win the 2024 elections but the party had to face defeat. After this, factionalism gained momentum in the party and for a long time the party could not decide on the leader of the opposition. After the new in-charge, the Congress party demonstrated strength in Chandigarh yesterday and brought all the leaders together on the stage. This is being considered as a message of unity from the party.
