According to reports, some employees in the US losing their jobs will receive a payout equivalent to 39 weeks—or approximately 9 months—of salary. However, the exact amount will depend on their job role and tenure with the company. Approximately 4,800 employees worldwide have been affected by this round of layoffs.
More than just salary: Additional benefits included
Employees losing their jobs will receive more than just a severance package.
Depending on their tenure, they will benefit from stock vesting for a period of 6 to 12 months.
Furthermore, paid health insurance will be provided for six months.
Will all employees receive 9 months' salary?
According to reports, employees in the US facing layoffs will continue to receive their basic salary for approximately 60 days. Additionally, the company will provide extra severance pay based on the employee's role and years of service. Employees at Level 64 or below will receive one week's basic salary for every six months of service.
