Peter Dinklage may have been acting since the 1990s, but it was his Emmy-winning portrayal of Tyrion Lannister in ' Game of Thrones ' that transformed him into one of Hollywood's most celebrated stars. While the fantasy epic catapulted him to global fame and landed him roles in some of the biggest film franchises, Dinklage and his wife, playwright and theatre director Erica Schmidt , have largely managed to keep their private life away from the spotlight.

Despite his reserved public persona, the actor has often left co-stars gushing over his natural charm. 'Game of Thrones' co-star Lena Headey famously let fans in on the actor's flirty side, described him as "the most successful flirt I've ever met." Even show co-creator David Benioff recalled, "every woman there, including my wife, was hanging on his every word."

Quote of the day by Peter Dinklage'Women on the whole are often not as shallow as men are. They can be, but they cut through things a little more easily than men do in terms of that superficial stuff.'

About Peter Dinklage's quote to Rolling StoneDinklage made the remark during a candid 2012 interview with Rolling Stone while reflecting on building his confidence, relationships and his changing outlook over the years.

While admitting that confidence did not come easily to him when he was younger, the actor confessed, "I was socially a little bit of a mess, in terms of confidence with the other half." However, he went on to add that as he got older, his confidence got a boost. He shared, "You get a little older, you get comfortable. Women respond to comfort, and a sense of humour. I was always able to make them laugh, so that helps a lot."

It was in that context that the actor observed, "Women on the whole are often not as shallow as men are. They can be, but they cut through things a little more easily than men do in terms of that superficial stuff."
