The Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has streamlined several features for its subscribers. Work on updating the EPFO website had been underway for the past few days; however, following this update, withdrawing money from PF accounts has become difficult. Therefore, if you intend to withdraw funds from your PF account right now, it is advisable to wait; filing a claim at this moment carries a risk that your funds could be held up for the next two weeks.

If you have already filed a claim to withdraw PF funds during this period and the money has not yet been credited, do not worry. It is possible that your funds are stuck due to the update, but you should receive them within the next two weeks. The EPFO has shared this information on the social media platform X, stating that services are being enhanced and accelerated following recent system upgrades and database migration. Users may face some inconvenience until the system becomes fully operational.

**Likely Delays in Services**
The EPFO has clarified that a transition phase is currently underway following the upgrade. Consequently, delays may occur in claim settlements and other online services. Fulfilling various service requests may take longer than usual for the time being. These services will be processed gradually to ensure user security and data accuracy. However, some individuals might experience longer-than-normal processing times for PF withdrawals, account transfers, or other claim-related tasks.

**Advice for PF Account Holders**
The EPFO has advised its approximately 8 crore account holders to exercise caution during this period. The organization stated that, given the current situation, account holders should avoid repeatedly submitting claim requests or applying multiple times for the same service. Doing so could increase the load on the system and lead to further delays in service delivery. However, once the update process is complete, the platform will operate much faster and more efficiently than before. Verification and validation tasks may simply be slower during the initial two-week period.

**UMANG App Services Suspended; Advice for Investors**
The EPFO has stated that the update process has impacted the services available on the UMANG app. Consequently, services on the app have been temporarily suspended, and subscribers are advised to submit their claims via the EPFO website until the migration is complete. During this period, the EPFO advises subscribers to refrain from filing new claims; furthermore, if a claim has already been submitted and appears as 'pending,' subscribers should not panic and attempt to cancel the claim or repeatedly resubmit the request.
