Moradabad. A big and good news is coming for the railway passengers of Moradabad Lok Sabha constituency. Moradabad MP Ruchi Veera has strongly raised the problems of the local people in an important meeting of the Railway Department held in Bareilly. The MP said in clear words that providing better rail facilities to the people of Moradabad is her biggest priority and she will continue to make efforts for this. In the meeting, he presented a total of 11-point demand letter and asked the railway officials to resolve these problems as soon as possible.

In fact, many such demands to Moradabad were included in this meeting, which have been pending for a long time. These included very sensitive issues ranging from changes in train timings to construction of new foot over bridges (FOBs) and resumption of closed stoppages.

Demand for change in timing of Ramnagar train for working people

MP Ruchi Veera raised the most important issue in the meeting regarding the timing of train number 65309 (Moradabad-Ramnagar). Currently this train runs at 4:55 pm. The MP has demanded that the timing of this train should be changed between 6:00 to 7:00 pm. In fact, most of the people traveling on this route belong to the laborers and working class. Due to train leaving early in the evening, they are not able to avail this service after the end of duty. If this change in timings happens, then hundreds of daily commuters will get great relief. Apart from this, he also strongly advocated running of Bandra Terminus train service on daily or alternate days instead of weekly.

The issue of infrastructure and overbridges at stations became heated

The MP also appeared very serious about the condition of Pipalsana and Roshanpur railway stations. He has sought written information from the officials about the current progress of the work of Foot Over Bridge (FOB) being built in Pipalsana and Roshanpur and the time limit for its completion. According to local people, due to absence of overbridges at both these stations, passengers have to cross the tracks risking their lives.

Along with this, the MP also demanded to improve the toilet and electrification system at Pipalsana railway station and to install ‘three sheds’ at halt stations to protect the passengers from sun and rain. He has also proposed to the Railways to build a foot over bridge at gate number 19-C of Roshanpur.

Emphasis on restarting closed stoppages and new railway line

The MP also cornered the Railways regarding the facilities which remained closed since the Covid period. He demanded resumption of halt at Lala Halt of train numbers 55303 and 55305, which used to halt there before the Corona pandemic. At the same time, citing the convenience of local passengers, he talked about giving stoppage of Ramnagar-Delhi Link Express (train number 25035/25036) at Roshanpur railway station.

Referring to another big and old project of the area, the Moradabad MP said that the Gaushala-Aliganj-Kashipur-Rampur new rail line project has been pending for a long time. Its construction work should be started after giving it approval as soon as possible. Also, he directed the officials to immediately repair the dilapidated underpass of Old Kashipur Road (Northern Direction). At the end of the meeting, the MP reiterated that he is committed to solving every small and big problem of the public.
