News Desk: The Education Department has made preparations to implement a new system for teachers working in government schools of Bihar. Its objective is to ensure punctuality in schools and improve the quality of education. Now special monitoring will be done on teachers’ attendance, reaching school on time and doing duty till the stipulated time. Under the new system, salary will also be released on the basis of attendance recorded online.

First rule: Salary will be given on the basis of online attendance

The Education Department has clarified that now the salary of teachers will be prepared on the basis of attendance recorded and verified on the e-Shikshakosh portal. The time of entry and exit from the school will be recorded digitally. Teachers whose attendance is not recorded on the portal may be considered absent on that day.

Second rule: One day’s salary will be deducted if you are late three times

According to the new system, if a teacher reaches school late three times or leaves school before the scheduled time, one day’s salary will be deducted. This rule will be applicable to both the situations of delay occurring on three consecutive days or on different days. The department believes that this will promote the habit of reaching school on time.

Third rule: Strict action will be taken against fake attendance

The Education Department has taken a strict stand against any kind of irregularities or fraud in the online attendance system. If any teacher tries to register his presence through photo or any other means without being present in the school, departmental disciplinary action will be taken against him.

Monitoring instructions given to officials

To make the new system effective, all block education officers and head teachers have been instructed to regularly monitor the online attendance of teachers. They will have to prepare reports from time to time and send them to the department, so that the rules can be ensured properly.
