Amitabh Bachchan Ayodhya land: According to reports, superstar Amitabh Bachchan is the first celebrity to buy land in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh. He had purchased his first plot of 10,000 square feet in ‘The Saryu’ project ahead of the inauguration of Ram Mandir in January 2024. Since then, he has been increasing his properties in the temple town. Recently in an event, ‘The House of Abhinandan Lodha’ founder and CMD Abhinandan Lodha told that the actor himself had called him to buy land in Ayodhya.

Talking to ‘Hindustan Times’, Lodha told that when he was in Australia in 2023, Bachchan contacted him at around 3 in the morning. He said, “There were some missed calls and after that a message came which read, ‘I am Amitabh Bachchan, please call back when it is convenient.’ I immediately got up and called him back.”

He further said, “He told me, ‘Abhinandan-ji, I am from UP and want to buy land in Ayodhya.’ I assured them that we will do this work for them.” This veteran actor is a resident of Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh.

Describing Amitabh Bachchan fixing the price of the deal and transferring the money within a day, Lodha said, “I replied, ‘How can I talk to you about the price?’ He told that he wanted to buy 15,000 square feet of land and I told him that it would cost around ₹15 crore. The very next day, he transferred ₹15 crore to me.”

Amitabh Bachchan’s properties in Ayodhya

Amitabh Bachchan has significantly increased his real estate holdings in Ayodhya. After his initial purchase in ‘The Saryu’ project, the actor bought a huge 54,454 square-feet plot just 10 km away from Ram Mandir in the name of his father’s ‘Harivansh Rai Bachchan Memorial Trust’. In March 2026, he also sealed a deal for 2.67 acres of land in Tihura Manjha area, which was worth ₹35 crore.

Apart from Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor also has a plot of land in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh which is the birthplace of Lord Ram. The actor invested in ‘The Saryu’, a premium real estate project of ‘The House of Abhinandan Lodha’ (HoABL) to buy land there. The deal price of this 2,134 square-feet plot was approximately ₹3.31 crore.
