London: Australia once again emerged champions in the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2026. The Aussies defeated England in the final of the 10th edition of the tournament at Lord's to lift their seventh Women's T20 World Cup title.

Despite England's defeat in the final, opening batter Danni Wyatt-Hodge etched her name into the record books. She became the first player to score more than 300 runs in a single edition of the ICC Women's T20 World Cup.

Wyatt-Hodge enjoyed an impressive campaign with the bat but failed to make a significant impact in the final. She scored eight runs off nine balls before being dismissed by Annabel Sutherland, caught behind by wicketkeeper Beth Mooney.

Heading into the final, Wyatt-Hodge needed just six more runs to reach the 300-run milestone. She achieved the feat off the very first ball of the fourth over. She finished the tournament with 302 runs in seven innings, the highest individual run tally in a single Women's T20 World Cup edition.

She began the tournament with an unbeaten century against Sri Lanka, scoring 105 runs off 62 balls. She then made 65 runs off 42 balls against the West Indies before remaining unbeaten on 89 from 53 deliveries against New Zealand.

Wyatt-Hodge, who became a mother earlier in 2026, has been an inspiration both on and off the field. She dedicated the first century of her international career to her daughter, Daisy.
