Pakistan Heavy Rain in House Collapse Pakistan: Heavy monsoon rains have caused massive devastation in Pakistan’s Balochistan province. Four people were killed when roofs of two kutcha houses collapsed in Zhob and Khuzdar districts. While more than 10 people were injured. Incessant rains and flash floods damaged many roads, affected electricity systems and caused huge damage to houses and crops. Administration and relief teams have reached the spot and are engaged in rescue work, while the seriously injured have been referred to Quetta for better treatment.
Roof of two houses collapsed due to heavy rain
Incidents of roof collapse occurred near Bacha Khan School and in Shamsi Colony of Zhob, where roofs of two mud houses collapsed after heavy rains. A local administration official said that a woman and two children died after being buried under the debris, while more than 10 members of the two affected families were injured in the incident.
Relief and rescue operations continue
After the incident, police, district administration officials and rescue teams reached the spot and started the rescue operation. Officials said, “Rescue workers removed the bodies and admitted the injured to the hospital in Zhob.” He further said that the seriously injured people have been referred to Quetta for special treatment. After the medico-legal procedures were completed, the bodies of the deceased were handed over to their families.
Electricity supply disrupted in many areas
A child died and four others were injured in a rain- incident in Khuzdar district. According to reports, mud houses were damaged and trees and hoardings were uprooted due to heavy rains and storm in many areas of Balochistan province. Due to bad weather, power supply was disrupted in many parts of Balochistan including Quetta.
On Thursday, Rescue 1122 spokesperson Farooq Ahmed said that at least two people died and nine others were injured in rain- incidents in Pakistan’s Punjab in the last 24 hours.

Roads damaged due to sudden flood
Punjab Rescue 1122 spokesperson said the casualties were caused by the collapse of walls, roofs and a hoarding due to strong winds and heavy rains, Dawn reported. Two people died and three others were injured after a wall collapsed in Attock.
According to the spokesperson, three people were injured when the roof of a house collapsed in Para Shaheen Bagh. One person was injured by lightning in Quaidabad area of Khushab, while another person was injured in Sargodha when a signboard fell due to strong winds. Roads and power supply were disrupted in many areas.
