Mumbai : Employees Provident Fund Association (EPFO) will be temporarily closed for filing and processing of EPF claims from June 26 to June 28, 2026 as it undertakes technical upgrades and database integration in its online system. This information has been given by EPFO through an official statement.
According to information available on the EPFO website, new claims cannot be filed from 12 midnight on June 26 to 11.59 pm on June 28. Also, the processing of claims will also be suspended during this period. Services will resume on June 29 from midnight. EPFO explained that improvements are being made to the software and database with the aim of increasing the efficiency of claim processing, making service delivery more efficient and providing a better experience to members. Claims already filed during this period will also remain pending and will be processed once the service has commenced.

Meanwhile, services on the UMANG app, which provides various services of EPFO, will also remain closed till July 2 due to scheduled maintenance work. EPFO for the financial year 2025-26
Options to check PF balance
EPF members can check their PF balance by giving a missed call to 011-22901406 from their registered mobile number. You can also get PF account information by sending SMS ‘EP-FOHO UAN ENG’ to 7738299899. For Marathi language ‘EP-FOHO UAN MAR’ has to be sent.
Service will be suspended during this period
26th to 28th June 2026 : Service of filing of new EPF claims and processing of claims is closed
From June 29: All online services will resume
Till 2nd July : EPFO services on UMANG app will not be available
– 8.25 percent interest rate on EPF for FY 2025-26
– Missed call facility PF balance can be checked by making a missed call on 011-22901406
– SMS Facility : Send ‘EP-FOHO UAN MAR’ to 7738299899 to get PF information in Marathi.
– It has also been informed that interest rate on provident fund has been fixed at 8.25 percent.
