Fire Breaks Out in Noida High-Rise Amid Rising Temperatures

As temperatures soar in Delhi-NCR, incidents of air conditioners exploding and causing fires continue to rise. On Monday, chaos erupted at the Aranya Society in Sector 119, Noida, when a severe fire broke out in a flat located on the 22nd floor of a high-rise building. Preliminary investigations suggest that the blaze was triggered by a loud explosion from the air conditioning unit.


Six fire engines were dispatched to the scene, and firefighters are actively working to control the flames. The Chief Fire Officer of Gautam Buddha Nagar and local police are present to oversee rescue and firefighting efforts.


No Casualties Reported

According to the Noida police, they received reports of the fire at a flat in Aranya Society, which falls under the jurisdiction of the Sector 113 police station. Fire service teams responded promptly and began extinguishing the fire.


Officials have confirmed that there are currently no reports of injuries. Efforts to fully extinguish the fire are ongoing, and further updates are expected once the situation is under control.


Chief Minister Takes Notice

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has acknowledged the fire incident in Noida and has instructed senior officials to assess the situation on-site immediately. He emphasized the need for expediting rescue operations, ensuring proper medical treatment for any injured, maintaining administrative vigilance, and continuously monitoring ongoing relief efforts.


Fire in Keshav Puram Residential Building

Earlier on Monday, a fire broke out in a four-story residential building in Keshav Puram, northwest Delhi, prompting a rescue operation where three individuals were safely evacuated from the roof. Fire department personnel successfully brought down Gaurav (28), Kayra (25), and Indu Batra (55) without any reported injuries.


According to DFS officials, the fire was confined to 24 electric meters on the ground floor of the building, which consists of four upper floors in addition to the ground level.


By 2:30 AM, the fire was under control, and the firefighting operation was completed. The exact cause of the fire is still under investigation.
