Eva Green was reportedly rushed to hospital following an accident while filming the third season of Wednesday.
The French actress, best known for playing Vesper Lynd opposite Daniel Craig in Casino Royale, recently joined the hit Netflix series for its upcoming season. However, her first weeks on set took an unexpected turn after she reportedly injured her leg while filming near Dublin, according to The Sun.
The 45 year old was treated in hospital following the incident, with production reportedly paused temporarily while she received medical attention. No further details about the nature of the accident or the extent of her injury have been shared, and neither Green nor Netflix has commented publicly on the report.
Green is set to play the mysterious Aunt Ophelia in the new seasona character whose connection to the Addams family is expected to add a darker dimension to the supernatural drama. Her casting also marks another collaboration with director Tim Burton, following their previous work together on Dark Shadows, Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children and Dumbo. Known for her affinity for gothic and atmospheric roles, Green appears a natural fit for the shadowy world of Nevermore Academy.
She joins an increasingly starry lineup of new additions for the third season, including Lena Headey, Andrew McCarthy, James Lance and Winona Ryder. She will also share the screen with returning cast members Jenna Ortega, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzmán, Emma Myers and Joanna Lumley.
