Mandu tourism: Madhya Pradesh is called the heart of India, which is a favorite place for tourists due to its beauty. Although there are many wonderful tourist places here, but the beauty of Mandu is most unique. Due to its natural beauty and excellent historical structure, it has also got a place in the UNESCO World Heritage list. This historical city is in Dhar district of Madhya Pradesh, which is located at a distance of about 100 kilometers from Indore. Mandu is also known as Mandava. Even though today it appears to be a small and quiet town, in ancient times it was counted among the richest and biggest cities of the world.
ship palace
The two-storey ‘Jahaz Mahal’ built between two artificial lakes (Kapur and Munj Sagar) is the real identity of Mandu. Its structure is such that it looks like a huge ship standing in the middle of the water, hence it was named Jahaaz Mahal.
During the monsoon season, when both these lakes are filled to the brim with water, the beauty of this palace increases even more.
Hindola Mahal
Hindola Mahal means swing, which got this name because of its special design. The walls of this palace are slightly inclined, due to which it looks like a big swing.
In ancient times, it used to be the royal court of the king and is a part of the main royal palace complex of Mandu.
Baz Bahadur Mahal
Sultan Baz Bahadur of Malwa was not only an excellent swordsman but also a great musician. It is believed that by singing his raga Deepak, even extinguished lamps would automatically light up.
After losing the battle with Queen Durgavati, he came to Mandu and dedicated his entire life to music, where he used to practice music along with his queen Roopmati.
A point
Dai Mahal has been built in such a unique way that when one stands in front of it and speaks loudly, the voice resonates clearly.
The specialty of this ancient architecture is that the echoing sound from here can be heard up to a distance of about 35 kilometers.
