LPG Gas Passbook: Most people in the country use LPG connections. If you use an LPG cylinder, you surely have a gas passbook, as it is considered a crucial document. It records details such as the connection holder's name, ID, the gas agency, and specifics regarding the gas cylinder. If, for some reason, you lose your passbook, booking a cylinder could become difficult. However, there is no need to worry, as you can easily get a duplicate passbook issued through your gas agency.
First Steps
You must first visit your nearest gas dealer or agency office.
Then, submit an application addressed to the manager.
After filling in all the necessary information, request the issuance of a new passbook.
Can you apply online?
Nowadays, many tasks can be easily completed from the comfort of home. Consequently, people often assume that the entire process of replacing a lost gas passbook can be done online. However, that is not the case; you must visit the gas agency to get a duplicate passbook issued. That said, you *can* retrieve essential details—such as your consumer ID—online, which simplifies the subsequent steps of the process.
- To do this, first visit the official MyLPG website.
- Select the option corresponding to your gas company (e.g., Bharat Gas, Indane, or HP).
- Next, choose the "Find Your LPG ID" option.
- Enter your registered mobile number or Aadhaar card number.
- Once verified, your 17-digit LPG ID and consumer number will appear on the screen. Carry the necessary documents with you.
To apply, you will need photocopies of certain essential documents, such as:
PAN card
Voter ID
Driving license
Identity proof
Aadhaar card
Electricity bill
Do not forget to carry these documents with you. The agency will examine them and verify your records in the system. Subsequently, you are required to pay a fee of up to ₹100. Once the fee is paid, you will be issued a duplicate passbook.
