Seattle, June 24:
Bosnia-Herzegovina and Qatar will enter Thursday’s Group B encounter in Seattle knowing that only a victory can keep their hopes of reaching the FIFA World Cup 2026 knockout stage alive.
With both teams collecting just one point from their opening two matches, the contest has effectively become a winner-takes-all affair as they seek to secure an unlikely route into the round of 32.
Bosnia-Herzegovina began their campaign with a creditable 1-1 draw against Canada but suffered a heavy setback in their second outing, going down 4-1 to Switzerland. The defeat left Sergej Barbarez’s side third in the standings with one point.
