Are you preparing for a government job? There’s significant news for those aspiring for a position in the public sector. The State Bank of India (SBI) has officially released a notification for the recruitment of Specialist Cadre Officers (SCO) for the year 2026-27. This recruitment drive is seeking applications for a total of 49 positions, including Assistant Manager (Law) and Deputy Manager (Law).

The application process will commence on June 24, 2026, and will remain open until July 14, 2026. Interested candidates can apply through the official SBI website at sbi.bank.in.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates applying for the positions of Assistant Manager (Law) and Deputy Manager (Law) must possess an LLB degree from a recognized university in India. Preference may be given to those who have completed a 5-year integrated law course, meaning only candidates who have finished their law studies and hold a law degree are eligible to apply.

Experience Criteria

For the Assistant Manager position, applicants must have a minimum of 2 years of experience, which should be in legal practice (post-registration with the Bar Council) or in the legal department of a bank.

Conversely, candidates for the Deputy Manager role must have at least 4 years of relevant experience, which should also be in legal practice or within a bank's legal department, counted after registration with the Bar Council.

Fee Structure

Candidates belonging to the General, EWS, and OBC categories will need to pay an application fee of ₹750. However, applicants from SC, ST, and PwBD (Persons with Disabilities) categories can apply free of charge. Please note that once the fee is submitted, it will not be refunded under any circumstances.
