Six-Month Aadhaar Benefits From July: Today Aadhar Card has become the most important document for every small and big government and private work. Generally, we have to pay a fee to change or update any information like name, mobile number or address, but do you know that Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has made one of its special services absolutely free for the next 6 months. Which service has been made free by UIDAI?

• According to the new rules of UIDAI, now people will be able to link or change the email ID in their Aadhar card absolutely free.
• You can avail this free service for full 6 months from 1st July to 31st December 2026.

How long will the service remain free?

• According to UIDAI, now you can correct the date of birth in your Aadhar card absolutely free for the next 6 months without paying any fee.
• You can also update the email ID in your Aadhaar absolutely free of cost from 1st July 2026 to 31st December 2026.

How much does the fee cost now?

• Today, if you link or update your email ID in your Aadhar card, then you have to pay a total fee of Rs 75 including tax.
• You have to pay this charge of Rs 75 by going to the Aadhaar center to register your new email ID or to change the old ID.
• But from July 1, UIDAI is changing this rule, after which you will not have to pay a single rupee to update your email ID and this facility will become completely free.

What things to keep in mind?

• This special facility of updating email ID without any charge will be made available only on the official Aadhaar mobile app (mAadhaar).
• If you download the Aadhaar app on your smartphone and change your email ID through it, then only you will not have to pay any money and this work will be done absolutely free.
• But keep in mind that if you update your email ID by visiting an Aadhaar center instead of the app or by any other means, then you may have to pay the same fixed fee as before.
