Mumbai The second season of the popular reality show ‘Lockup’ is going to reach the audience soon. This time the new avatar of the show will be seen on Netflix, where it will be hosted by actor Riteish Deshmukh and filmmaker-choreographer Farah Khan. However, during the launch event of the show, a question made the atmosphere a bit serious, when Riteish Deshmukh got angry over a media person’s question.
Controversial question raised in launch event
At the launch event of ‘Lockup: Sach Ya Saja’ held in Mumbai, a journalist asked Ritesh that his close friends Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt have had the experience of going to jail, so would they like to include them as contestants in the show and what punishment would they give them?
On hearing this question, Ritesh expressed his displeasure and said, “First of all, I don’t think that I would like to give her any dignity by answering your question.” After this answer of the actor, the people present at the program also supported his reaction. Ritesh further clarified that it is not his responsibility to select the participants in the show. He said, “I will not bring them because my job is to host the show. Whatever contestants or guests come to ‘Lockup’, we interact with them and take the show forward.”
Salman and Sanjay have been involved in legal disputes
It is noteworthy that Salman Khan was sentenced in the famous black buck hunting case of 1998, while Sanjay Dutt had to go to jail on charges of possessing illegal weapons in the case to the 1993 Mumbai bomb blasts. The journalist’s question was asked in the context of these matters, which Ritesh considered inappropriate and refused to answer.
New season will start from June 27
‘Lockup 2’ to be aired on Netflix will stream from June 27. This time the show is all set to entertain the audience with a new format, new hosts and many popular contestants. There is already a lot of excitement among the audience about the pairing of Riteish Deshmukh and Farah Khan.
