DON'T MISS A MOMENT OF THE WORLD CUP

Ghanaian spiritual healer issues warning to Harry Kane! The witch doctor who once claimed responsibility for Cristiano Ronaldo's injury during the 2014 World Cup has now vowed to 'stop' the England captain in their upcoming World Cup fixture.

A Ghanaian witch doctor, Nana Kwaku Bonsam, who previously took credit for causing an injury to Cristiano Ronaldo in the 2014 World Cup, has now directed his attention towards Harry Kane. Bonsam claims he is working to limit the England skipper’s effectiveness against Ghana, even as Thomas Tuchel’s squad remain focused on their World Cup goals.

Witch doctor sets his sights on Kane

Bonsam has returned to the spotlight ahead of the highly anticipated World Cup meeting between England and Ghana. Known for claiming responsibility for Ronaldo’s knee issue during the 2014 tournament, Bonsam now says Harry Kane is his new target. The Bayern Munich striker enters the contest in strong form after scoring twice in a 4-2 victory over Croatia. Kane is also on the verge of a personal milestone, sitting just one goal shy of surpassing Gary Lineker’s record as England’s all-time leading World Cup goalscorer.

Bonsam explains his motives

The spiritualist insists his intention is not to cause serious harm to Kane but to disrupt his performance against Ghana. Speaking to the Daily Star, Bonsam said: “I am working on Harry Kane. I have shown what I am capable of before, so I know what work I must do to stop him. I am very famous for my predictions. I am not wishing him serious injury. It will be just enough to stop him against my country. I will do my work so that it can help Ghana.”

Reflecting on his previous claims regarding Ronaldo, Bonsam has long maintained that his powers go beyond conventional medicine. Back in 2014, he stated: “I know what Cristiano Ronaldo’s injury is about, I’m working on him. I am very serious about it. I said it four months ago that I will work on Cristiano Ronaldo seriously and rule him out of the World Cup or at least prevent him from playing against Ghana and the best thing I can do is to keep him out through injury.

“This injury can never be cured by any medic, they can never see what is causing the injury because it is spiritual. Today, it is his knee, tomorrow it is his thigh, next day it is something else.”

Tuchel maintains high standards in camp

While talk of mystical interference swirls outside, Thomas Tuchel remains focused on keeping his squad disciplined and prepared as they aim for a place in the knockout rounds. Full-back Djed Spence has praised the German manager’s high expectations as a driving force behind the team’s progress.

“He’s a great manager. He wants the best from his players,” Spence told talkSPORT. “He demands high standards and for this tournament, we need to be ready, we need to be switched on.

“Every session needs to be of the highest quality. That’s what he demands. It’s good. I think he’s a great manager, he’s a great guy. Very detailed in what he wants to do. I’ve got great respect for him.

“It’s like what he always says, we’re building a family, we’ve built a brotherhood within the team, everyone has one dream, one brain. I think everyone is on the same path. We can do special things. I think he’s built that environment with this squad.”

Chasing a place in the knockout stages

England, known as the Three Lions, will face Ghana in their second Group L match at Boston Stadium on Tuesday. They currently top the group with three points, holding a lead over Ghana on goal difference. A victory would put England in a strong position to advance to the knockout stages before their final group match, giving Tuchel the opportunity to rest key players for their concluding fixture against Panama.
