When lakhs of students across the country were preparing for NEET re-exam, a decision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi caught people's attention. After reaching Delhi Airport, the Prime Minister decided to stay there for some time instead of leaving immediately for his residence. It is being told that this decision was taken to save the students from any kind of trouble in reaching the examination centre.
According to the information, Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Delhi Airport at around 1:15 pm. Whereas, NEET re-exam was to start from 2 pm. In such a situation, if the Prime Minister's convoy had left the airport, then as per the security protocol, traffic on many major routes could have been stopped for some time. At the same time, a large number of students were also going towards the examination centres.
Priority given to students' convenience
According to sources, considering the situation, the Prime Minister decided to stay at the airport itself. It is being told that he stayed at the airport for about 45 minutes and left for his residence only after the examination started. This decision is being seen as a step to give priority to the convenience of the students.
Although, no detailed statement has been made officially in this regard, but after this information came out, its discussion has intensified on social media also.
Tight security arrangements for 22.79 lakh candidates
Meanwhile, a total of 22.79 lakh candidates from across the country and abroad are appearing in the NEET re-exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Due to limited seats in medical courses, this examination is considered to be one of the most competitive examinations in the country.
Elaborate arrangements have been made to make the examination fair and safe. Examination centers have been set up in 551 cities of the country and 14 cities of foreign countries. This time the examination is being conducted at more than 5,000 examination centres. According to NTA, more than 2 lakh employees have been deployed to conduct the examination. Apart from this, 674 city coordinators and 6,669 observers are also engaged in monitoring. Aadhaar based biometric verification, CCTV surveillance, jammers and special checking system have been implemented to prevent duplication and other irregularities. This step of the Prime Minister has become a topic of discussion amidst this important examination conducted for lakhs of candidates across the country, because it is directly related to ensuring the convenience of the students and timely access to the examination centre.
