Morocco strengthened their FIFA World Cup 2026 credentials with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Scotland to move to the top of Group C.
Midfielder Ismael Saibari scored after just 71 seconds, registering the fastest goal of the tournament so far. The early strike, created by a clever pass from Brahim Diaz, proved decisive as Morocco dominated possession and controlled the tempo throughout the contest. Scotland struggled to create meaningful chances despite a late push for an equaliser.
The victory takes Morocco to four points from two matches, while Scotland remain on three points and face a difficult final group game against Brazil.
