Indore Ujjain Green Field Corridor: 48 km long four lane road will be built

The total length of the proposed green field corridor will be approximately 48 kilometers. About Rs 2,935 crore will be spent on the construction of this four-lane road. This route will start from Pitru Parvat area of Indore and reach Simhastha Bypass located near Chintaman Ganesh Temple of Ujjain. After the construction of this corridor, travel between Indore and Ujjain will become more fast, convenient and safe. Lakhs of devotees coming especially during the Simhastha fair are expected to get great relief in traffic.

Simhastha 2028 Preparation: Devotees will get easy and fast connectivity network

Keeping in mind Simhastha-2028, this project is being given special priority. Devotees coming from different states of the country will be able to reach Ujjain directly from Indore Airport through this corridor. This will reduce traffic pressure on existing routes and will also save time for passengers. The government believes that this corridor will play an important role in ensuring smooth traffic during Simhastha.

Farmers Compensation: 917 farmers got compensation based on market rate

A total of 242.939 hectares of land has been acquired for the project, affecting 917 farmers. Compensation of more than Rs 816 crore has been provided to these farmers. The special thing is that farmers were paid on the basis of actual selling rates instead of traditional collector guidelines. Due to this, many farmers have received compensation 4 to 8 times more than the normal rates. This type of initiative has been implemented for the first time in the state, due to which an atmosphere of satisfaction is being seen among the farmers.

Malwa Development Corridor: 28 villages will be directly connected, 15 lakh people will benefit

20 villages of Indore district and 8 villages of Ujjain district will be directly connected through the Green Field Corridor. Apart from this, about 15 lakh people of 40 to 50 nearby villages will also benefit from this project. Due to better road connectivity, transportation in rural areas will be easier, which will also boost economic activities and local development.

Industrial And Tourism Growth: Malwa region will get a new engine of development

This project will not be limited only to the Simhastha event, but will also provide new momentum to the industrial, business and tourism development of Indore-Ujjain region. Better connectivity will increase the possibilities of growth in investment, employment and tourism activities. Experts believe that this green field corridor can prove to be a new path of development for the Malwa region in the coming years.
