Method of making bottle gourd pakodas (Lauki Ke Pakode)

To make bottle gourd pakodas, first choose a fresh and soft bottle gourd. Wash it thoroughly and peel it. Grate the bottle gourd and put it in a large mixing bowl. Add finely chopped green chillies, fresh coriander and grated ginger to it.

To enhance the taste, add red chilli powder, whole coriander seeds, mint leaves and salt as per taste. Finally, add gram flour to the mixture and make sure the batter remains thick, add more gram flour if needed.

Now heat oil in a deep pan, drop small pakodas of the batter in the hot oil and fry till they become golden brown and crispy. Serve these freshly made bottle gourd pakodas with green chutney, tomato ketchup or curd. Crispy from outside and soft from inside, everyone will like these pakodas.
