Hollywood actor Jason Momoa has expressed his admiration for his Street Fighter co-star, Indian actor Vidyut Jammwal, calling him "one of the most beautiful men" he has ever encountered.
During a recent interview with Zoom, Momoa praised Jammwal's talent and skills, stating, "He's so talented. He's unbelievable." The Aquaman star humorously suggested that Jammwal should assist him in breaking into Bollywood, indicating a desire to collaborate with the Indian actor in the future.
Momoa's enthusiasm for Jammwal was evident as he remarked, "He should get me a job in Bollywood. He should have something set up for me. We should do something together. It'd be fun. And I said it, and I'm sticking with it. I can't wait to come (to India) one day." This playful banter highlights the camaraderie between the two actors as they work together on the upcoming Hollywood adaptation of the iconic video game franchise.
In Street Fighter, Vidyut Jammwal makes his Hollywood debut, portraying the character Dhalsim, known for his mystical abilities and unique appearance. The teaser and trailer have already garnered attention, showcasing Jammwal's transformation into the character with a clean-shaven head adorned with bold red stripes, complemented by rustic orange drapes and tribal accessories that enhance Dhalsim's fierce persona.
The film features a star-studded cast, including Noah Centineo, Callina Liang, Cody Rhodes, and 50 Cent, among others. Set in 1993, the storyline revolves around estranged Street Fighters Ryu and Ken Masters, who are drawn back into combat by the enigmatic Chun-Li. The official synopsis hints at a deeper conspiracy that challenges the fighters to confront their pasts, adding layers of intrigue to the action-packed narrative.
Street Fighter is directed by Kitao Sakurai, with a screenplay by Dalan Musson. The film is a collaboration between Legendary and Japanese video game developer Capcom, with Paramount Pictures handling distribution. Scheduled for release on October 16, the film aims to revive interest in the franchise, following the mixed reception of the 1994 adaptation that starred Jean-Claude Van Damme.
