Public sector Bank of Maharashtra has changed the fixed deposit interest rates (FD Rates). The new rates have become effective from June 18. The bank is offering interest ranging from 2.60% to 6.65% on callable FDs of less than Rs 3 crore. Customers can invest from 7 days to 10 years. It is offering 2.60% to 6.40% interest on callable FD ranging from Rs 3 crore to Rs 10 crore.
Earlier the bank was offering 6.20% interest on 365 i.e. 1 year FD. Which has been increased to 6.40%. Whereas senior citizens are getting 6.90% interest. It is offering 0.50% extra interest to senior citizens on FD less than Rs 5 crore. However the facility is available on tenure of 91 days or more. All banks keep changing the interest rates of FD from time to time. Therefore, before investing, customers are advised to visit the official website of the bank or the nearest website.
Two special FD schemes also available
The bank is offering two special tenures. 6.65% interest is being given on 400 day callable FD. Senior citizens are getting 7.15% returns. The bank is giving 6.05% interest on Green Deposit Scheme for 1777 days. Senior citizens are getting 6.55% interest. On investment from Rs 3 crore to Rs 10 crore, 5.45% interest is available on this scheme.
The bank is offering 5.25% interest on tenure of more than 2 years and up to 3 years and 6.15% interest on tenure of more than 1 year and up to 2 years to general citizens. 5 percent return is being given on tenure ranging from 5 years to 10 years.

- 7 days to 30 days – 2.60%
- 31 to 45 days – 2.75%
- 46 to 90 days – 3.75%
- 91 to 119 days – 4%
- 120 to 180 days – 4.75%
- 181 days to 270 days – 5%
- 271 days to 364 days – 5.25%
- 365 days- 6.40%
- More than one year and up to 2 years – 6.15%
- Above 2 years and up to 3 years – 5.25%
- Above 3 years and up to 5 years – 5%
- More than 5 years – 5%
