There has been a big upset in the Rajya Sabha elections in Jharkhand. Here NDA supported independent candidate Parimal Nathwani won. He has defeated Congress candidate Pranab Jha. Voting was held on two Rajya Sabha seats of Jharkhand today itself. Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) candidate Baidyanath Ram won the second seat.
Parimal Nathwani got a total of 28 votes. Whereas Congress’s Pranab Jha had to be satisfied with only 20 votes. On the other hand, 30 votes were cast in favor of Baidyanath Ram of JMM. Two votes of BJP and one of Congress were invalidated.
The biggest thing is that BJP has a total of 24 MLAs in Jharkhand Assembly. For first preference in the 81-member assembly, it was necessary to have at least 28 votes. In such a situation, the question arises who voted in favor of NDA supported Parimal Nathwani. Whereas the number of MLAs of India alliance including Congress and JMM is 56.
BJP leaders distributed sweets
There is a wave of happiness in the BJP camp due to Nathwani’s victory. BJP leaders celebrated by distributing laddus. MLA Shatrughan Mahato said that victory was certain. We knew this because Nathwani ji had already been a Rajya Sabha MP two-three times and we also knew that with his victory, the development that has already happened in our Jharkhand will definitely happen in the future also.
On the other hand, BJP MLA Neera Yadav also thanked those MLAs who voted in favor of Nathwani. Neera Yadav said that those MLAs cooperated and we thank them wholeheartedly for voting wisely.
