In 2025, the Public Works Department gave permission for the construction of the drain. After the permission, the work started like a government trick, but bypassing the set standards, construction started arbitrarily.

Allowed in 2025, canceled in 2026

When there were complaints during the construction of the drain, the matter of its transfer came to light, in this a point came to the fore that the road has not been repaired by the Public Works Department, National Highway, on the basis of this, PWD issued an order that the road on which the drain is being constructed does not come under its jurisdiction, hence the permission given is cancelled, that is, the permission which was given in 2025 was canceled after a year in 2026 by the PWD and wrote to the municipality that you should contact the concerned department. Get permission only.

These two big questions are being raised on PWD

Here two big questions arise, firstly, was the Public Works Department, Division No. 1, Gwalior not aware of whether the drain was under its jurisdiction or not, that is, the Executive Engineer gave permission to construct the drain on the route without authority, secondly, when that route comes under the Public Works Department, National Highways Division, Gwalior, then why did it not get that route repaired in so many years?

However, the efforts made by the Municipality to organize the traffic of the city and protect the public from filth, smell and diseases, which was started by the Municipality after the complaints of the public, have gone sour, now the Municipality will make a fresh attempt to get permission for this, it has to be seen how quickly it shows seriousness for this.
