Honor X80 Pro Max teased with 10,000 Nits display ahead of June 22 launch

Honor has officially unveiled the teaser for its upcoming X80 Pro Maxconfirming a launch date of June 22, 2026 in China. The device is being marketed as the world’s first smartphone capable of achieving a peak screen brightness of over 10,000 nitsalongside housing the largest battery ever fitted in a smartphone at 11,000mAh.

Display Specifications

The Honor X80 Pro Max will feature a 6.79-inch OLED display with 1.5K resolution (2788 × 1280 pixels) and a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The panel supports 120Hz refresh rate, 3840Hz PWM dimming, HDR10and Ultra HDR image support. While Honor claims the extraordinary 10,000-nit peak brightness, this figure applies only to a small portion of the screen for HDR content, with full-panel brightness sitting closer to the 2,000-nit industry norm for OLED displays.

Massive Battery Capacity

The standout feature is the 11,000mAh silicon-carbon batterywhich Honor confirms is the highest capacity on any smartphone yet. This massive battery is approximately 3.5 times larger than an Apple iPhone Air’s battery. The device supports 90W fast charging for rapid power-ups and 27W reverse wired chargingallowing the X80 Pro Max to charge other devices.

Performance and Memory

The X80 Pro Max will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chipset (SM6850), built on a 4nm process. The octa-core processor features 4x Cortex-A720 cores at 2.6GHz and 4x Cortex-A520 cores at 2.0GHz. Memory options include 8GB or 12GB RAM with up to 512GB internal storage.

Durability and Camera

The device carries IP68/IP69K ratings for dust and water resistance, with drop resistance up to 2.5 meters. It uses aluminosilicate glass for protection. The phone features a 50MP rear camera as confirmed by the official teaser.

Design and Availability

Honor has revealed the design in four color options. The phone will launch in China on June 22 at 19:00 (18:00 IST), though international availability remains uncertain, with reports suggesting it may not launch outside China anytime soon.
