The undergraduate admission process for the 2026-30 academic session at Nilamber-Pitamber University (NPU) is set to begin on June 16. The university administration has completed all preparations for the admissions. The Chancellor's Portal will remain open for students from June 16 to July 16; during this period, interested students can register online and apply for admission.
University Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Dinesh Kumar Singh stated that the admission process for the new session would be completed in a time-bound manner to ensure the academic calendar remains on track and students' classes commence on schedule. He noted that the university is continuously working towards regularizing the academic session and is also making efforts to introduce various new courses. Examinations at the university are also being conducted according to the scheduled timeline.
The Vice-Chancellor informed that nine constituent colleges are currently operating under NPU. In accordance with the guidelines of the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the Department of Higher and Technical Education, the admission process has been designed to be completely transparent and student-centric. The online application process has been simplified and made user-friendly to ensure students face no inconvenience.
According to the seat allocation released by the university administration, admissions will be conducted for a total of 12,630 seats across the nine constituent colleges. Of these, the highest number of seats—2,540—are available at Ganesh Lal Agrawal College. Meanwhile, 2,400 seats are available for admission at SSJS Namdhari College, Garhwa.
Additionally, 1,790 seats have been allocated for Mahila Mahavidyalaya and 1,580 seats for Janta Shivratri College. Mandal College, Garhwa, will have 720 seats available. Admissions for 900 seats each will be conducted at Degree College Manika, Hussainabad, and Chhatarpur. Mahila Mahavidyalaya, Lesliganj, has also been allocated 900 seats.
Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Dinesh Kumar Singh stated that the newly established colleges in Rehla and Bhavnathpur will also become operational in the near future. The opening of these colleges will provide students in the region with greater opportunities for higher education, while also offering them the convenience of enrolling locally.
The university administration anticipates a large number of online applications this time. Students are advised to register on the Chancellor's Portal and upload the necessary documents well in advance. The Vice-Chancellor emphasized that applications will not be accepted after the stipulated deadline; therefore, students should apply on time to secure their enrollment rather than waiting until the last minute.
