UP DElEd Exam: The registration process for the UP DElEd entrance exam 2026 is currently underway. By the third day of the application process, 2,338 candidates had registered, and 1,515 had paid the fee. The deadline for DElEd registration is July 8. There are a total of 239,509 DElEd seats in UP; this includes 10,600 seats across 67 DIETs (District Institutes of Education and Training) and 228,900 seats across 3,103 private-sector DElEd colleges.

According to a notification issued by Rajendra Pratap, Secretary of the Examination Regulatory Authority (UP, Prayagraj), the admission process will be conducted for private and minority training institutes affiliated with and recognized by the state government. Detailed information regarding eligibility, age limits, application fees, selection criteria, and other conditions is available on the website. Candidates are advised to carefully verify the details entered in the application form against their mark sheets and certificates, as no opportunity for correction will be provided after the application is submitted. It has also been clarified that candidates from states other than Uttar Pradesh will be treated under the unreserved category and will not be entitled to any reservation benefits.

**Deadline for Application Fee Payment**
Rajendra Pratap, Secretary of the Examination Regulatory Authority (UP, Prayagraj), stated that the deadline for paying the registration fee is July 9. The payment link and application form are available on the website updeled.gov.in. The deadline for completing the online application and taking a printout is set for July 11. It is worth noting that admissions are to be held for 239,509 DElEd seats; last year, over one lakh seats remained unfilled.

**Eligibility for UP DElEd Entrance Exam**
To gain admission to the UP DElEd (formerly BTC) program, candidates must have passed Class 12. A minimum of 50% marks is required for General category candidates, while 45% marks are prescribed for SC, ST, OBC, and differently-abled (Divyang) categories. The minimum age is 18 years.
