Smriti, Shafali and Charani Shine as India Thrash Netherlands by 95 Runs

Smriti Mandhana and Shafali Verma starred with the bat before Sree Charani led the bowling attack as India crushed Netherlands by 95 runs in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026.
Smriti smashed 74 off 47 balls while Shafali blasted 55 from 38 deliveries in a 115-run opening stand, helping India post a record 209/5 – their highest-ever total in Women’s T20 World Cup history. The Netherlands never recovered in the chase and were bowled out for 114 in 17.3 overs.
Charani claimed 4/19, while Shafali impressed with the ball too, taking 3/20 as India climbed to the top of Group A.
