Juventus midfielder Khephren Thuram, who has been linked with Manchester United, has reportedly turned down another club as he continues to wait for a potential move to the Premier League.
Manchester United are focusing on strengthening their midfield this summer as they gear up for next season’s Champions League campaign and aim to mount a serious challenge for the Premier League title.
The Red Devils have already reached an agreement with Atalanta for the signing of Ederson, whose transfer is expected to be finalised after the World Cup.
United are also monitoring Juventus midfielder Thuram, whose future in Turin appears to be increasingly uncertain. Reports indicate that Juventus are willing to offload the Frenchman following their failure to qualify for the Champions League.
Although Thuram would prefer to remain at the Allianz Stadium, circumstances may leave him with limited options. It is understood that negotiations for the 23-year-old are expected to begin in the region of €45–50 million.
In recent developments, Thuram has reportedly rejected an offer from Saudi Pro League side Al Ahli.
Al Ahli were ready to present the midfielder with a highly lucrative deal to lure him to Saudi Arabia, but Thuram’s clear preference remains a move to England’s top division. Alongside Manchester United, Liverpool are also said to be monitoring his situation.
According to TuttoSport, three additional Premier League clubs—Newcastle United, Nottingham Forest, and Aston Villa—have now entered the race to sign the dynamic box-to-box midfielder.
The Italian publication further reports that Turkish giants Galatasaray recently showed “strong interest” in acquiring Thuram’s services.
Galatasaray were reportedly prepared to pay around €30 million to bring the Juventus star to Istanbul, but Thuram declined the offer.
“No way. The Gala option doesn’t appeal to the Bianconeri number 19 at all, who appears intent on continuing his adventure at Juve,” the report stated.
TuttoSport emphasises that Thuram would only consider a move to England if remaining at Juventus becomes unfeasible.
