The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is likely to release the results for the Class 10 second board examination 2026 soon. Although the board has not yet officially announced the date and time for the result declaration, the students' wait could end at any moment. Once the results are declared, students will be able to view their marks via the official website, DigiLocker, and the UMANG app. Lakhs of students participated in this second examination—conducted for the first time this year under the two-board-exam system—with the majority seeking to improve their scores.
**Awaiting the Result Release**
The results for the CBSE Class 10 second board exam are expected to be announced shortly. Students will be able to check their scores online as soon as the board releases them. Those who appeared for the exam are advised to keep a close watch on the official website.
**Introduction of the Two-Board-Exam System**
In 2026, CBSE introduced a system of two board examinations for Class 10 students. The second examination was held between May 15 and May 21, 2026. The objective of this new system is to provide students with an opportunity to improve their performance within the same academic session. Additionally, it eliminates the need for students with 'compartment' status to wait until the following year.
**Registration by Lakhs of Students**
Approximately 67 lakh applications were received for the second board examination. Of these, around 52 lakh students applied to improve their marks, while over 85,000 students registered for the compartment examination. This clearly indicates a positive reception of the new examination system among students.
**How to Check Your Result**

**How Many Students Participated?**
Approximately 2.5 million Class 10 students appeared for the main board examinations held in February-March 2026. Of these, around 670,000 students attempted to improve their results by participating in the second board examination.
