The BBC has now confirmed the full line-up of commentators, pundits and presenters for the World Cup fixture between Sweden and Tunisia.
This marks Sweden’s 13th World Cup appearance, following their quarter-final run in 2018. Tunisia, meanwhile, are participating in their third consecutive tournament, continuing to build on their recent international form.
The Group F clash at Mexico City Stadium promises to be a treat for dedicated football fans and night owls alike, with kick-off set for 3 a.m. UK time.
Live coverage will be broadcast on ITV1 and ITVX, with American-born Semra Hunter, widely recognised for her work covering La Liga, leading as the main presenter.
She will be joined in the studio by expert pundits Karen Carney and Jobi McAnuff. Additionally, Adam Richman, the well-known host of Man v. Food, will provide co-presenting support during the broadcast.
Karen Carney enjoyed an illustrious playing career in women’s football, representing Chelsea, Arsenal and her hometown club Birmingham City before retiring in 2019. Her decorated career includes five FA Cup victories and three Women’s Premier League National Division titles – the competition that preceded today’s Women’s Super League.
Jobi McAnuff, on the other hand, had a long and varied playing career across all five tiers of English football after debuting with Wimbledon in 2001. Over two decades, he represented multiple clubs and also played internationally for Jamaica. Towards the end of his playing days, he briefly took on the role of interim manager at Leyton Orient.
The commentary team for the Sweden vs Tunisia match will feature Joe Speight providing play-by-play coverage, accompanied by seasoned analyst Lucy Ward, who will offer expert insights throughout the game.
Ward, who retired from professional football in 2009, later became head of player welfare at her former club Leeds United. During her tenure, she played a key role in supporting emerging talents such as James Milner and Fabian Delph.
The encounter will take place at Monterrey Stadium, and with Japan having held the Netherlands to a 2-2 draw earlier in the group, a victory for either Sweden or Tunisia would see them move to the top of Group F.
