A major step has been taken to improve legal coordination between the Gulf countries. GCC Secretary General Jasem Albudaiwi launched the ‘Unified Gulf Legislation Platform’ in Riyadh on Sunday, 14 June 2026. This digital platform has been created to bring uniformity in the exchange and rules of legal information among the member countries.
More than 24,700 legal documents have so far been uploaded on this new platform. Modern search facility has been provided in it, which will make it easier for government departments, lawyers, researchers and common people to understand and search the laws of Gulf countries. This platform will act as an electronic reference, thereby expediting legal proceedings across the GCC region.
The decision to implement this project was taken at the 19th meeting of the Standing Committee of Officials of Law Departments of GCC countries. It is designed so that anyone can easily and quickly get the legal information they need.
In the first phase of this digital integration Bahrain And Oman Has been added. Rest of the member countries will also be connected to this platform in the coming time. After this, this system will become even more comprehensive, so that decision-making officials and experts will be able to get accurate information.
