Ajendra Chauhan- National President of Samajwadi Party (SP) and former Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, who came to participate in the ‘Vision India’ program organized in the Taj city of Agra, made a fierce verbal attack on the Central and Uttar Pradesh governments during a press conference. Akhilesh took a sharp jibe at all the burning issues ranging from the incident of theft of donation box in the Ram Mandir complex of Ayodhya to the law and order of the state, fake encounters, EVMs and the future of the alliance and expressed his views openly. During the press conference, when journalists asked questions about the theft from the donation box of Ram temple, Akhilesh Yadav got upset. He said, “It is a very unfortunate time that now even the offerings in the Ram Temple have started being stolen. After this incident, the police and investigating officers will now investigate the Ram Temple and the revered saints and sages, which is a direct insult to Sanatan Dharma.” Taking a jibe at the government, the SP chief suggested a unique solution. He said, “The best way there (in Ayodhya) is to switch off the lights and cameras for some time. Then you will see, someone will automatically come and put back the entire offering in front of Lord Shri Ram.”
Government is perfect in fake encounters, this is just to target PDA
Speaking on the recent encounter in Ghazipur, the former Chief Minister raised serious questions on the law and order situation in the state. Making a direct allegation, he said, “What happened in Ghazipur is completely a ‘fake encounter’. This present government has become completely ‘perfect’ in carrying out fake encounters. All these fake encounters of the government are being done only to scare and target the people of PDA (Backward, Dalit, Minority) category.” Along with this, while presenting a new and positive formula of ‘PDA’, he said that for him the real meaning of PDA is now “love, kindness and belongingness”.
Outspoken speech on fire in EVM room and preparations for Congress’s 403 seats
Attacking BJP on the incident of fire in the strong room where EVMs were kept in West Bengal, Akhilesh said that there was a fear of revealing deep secrets behind the fire that broke out there. He taunted that BJP people even set fire to vacate the land. At the same time, on the question of Congress making preparations on all 403 seats for the upcoming elections in Uttar Pradesh, Akhilesh Yadav replied in a very measured manner. He said, “If Congress is strengthening its organization on all 403 seats, then Samajwadi Party is also preparing diligently on all 403 seats. This simply means that our joint preparations will now be doubled. BJP only does negative politics, the end of which is certain.”
Promise on early elections, closing schools and health services
Rejecting the speculations about premature assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh, the SP chief said, “How will the government which is not able to conduct Pradhani (Panchayat) elections on time, conduct the assembly elections early?” Presenting government figures, he claimed that so far around 500 government primary schools have been closed in the Taj city of Agra alone, which shows the poor condition of the education system. Finally, referring to the historical Medical College of Agra, Akhilesh Yadav assured the local public. He said, “Agra’s Medical College is the oldest and proud institution of Uttar Pradesh. I assure you that just as respected Netaji (Mulayam Singh Yadav) had created history by establishing Saifai Medical University, in the same way after coming back to power, we will work to make the health services of Agra and the entire state world class and strong.”
