Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee on Saturday removed MP Sayoni Ghosh from the post of party youth wing president and replaced her with youth leader Arnab Banerjee.

Mala Rai also lost her post

The party has also made changes in the post of president of women’s organization Trinamool Mahila Congress. In place of Kolkata South MP Mala Rai, the responsibility has been given to Alifa Ahmed, MLA from Kaliganj in Nadia district.

Both Sayoni Ghosh and Mala Rai are considered to be part of the group of Trinamool MPs who have launched a front against the party leadership in recent times.
