The FIFA World Cup 2026 opening ceremonies in Canada and the United States was a star-studded affair with some of Hollywood's biggest stars in the stands, joining fans in cheering for their teams. The grand event in Los Angeles proved to be a celebrity spectacle, with Hollywood stars, from Tom Cruise , to David Beckhan, and Katy Perry stealing all the attention.

Videos doing the rounds online, saw the Mission: Impossible star and football icon David Beckham , greeting fans throughout the match. The actor was even seen signing autographs on jerseys, posing for selfies and even shaking hands with members of the audience around his VIP box.

Cruise and Beckham were among a host of celebrity guests in attendance for the Group D clash. Elsewhere in the stands, fans spotted Katy Perry and her boyfriend, Justin Trudeau watching the game after her electrifying performance.



The match also attracted several known faces from socialite Paris Hilton, actor Jamie Foxx and actor Vince Vaughn.
