Alert issued for heavy rain and storm in these 17 states including UP, Bihar! Know the weather condition.

New Delhi. The weather patterns are changing rapidly across the country. The Indian Meteorological Department has today issued an important warning for 17 states of the country including Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Delhi-NCR. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heavy rain with thunder, lightning and stormy winds at a speed of 50 to 90 kilometers per hour in these states.

Delhi and surrounding areas will remain partly cloudy. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain with dust storm, due to which the temperature will drop. The Meteorological Department has issued a storm alert in about 22 districts of UP. There will be rain with strong winds in some parts of the state, although the effect of humidity and heat may also persist in some cities.

Warning of heavy rain and thunderstorm has been issued in more than 18 districts of Bihar. During this time, winds blowing at a speed of 50-60 km/hour can create problems. People have been advised not to go out in the open during lightning.

Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh: There is a possibility of heavy rain and hailstorm with strong thunderstorm in the hilly areas.

Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan: Scattered rain activities along with dust storm will be seen.

South and Northeast India: Monsoon is fully active in Kerala, Karnataka, Assam, Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh, due to which extremely heavy rains will continue here.

Life was affected due to heavy rains and strong winds in many parts of Kerala on Friday. Trees were uprooted and branches fell at many places, causing damage to many vehicles and properties. The Meteorological Department has issued a red alert in five districts of the state for Saturday and Sunday.

According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), rainfall in the state may become more intense in the next two days. In view of this, red alert has been declared in Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur and Kasaragod districts for Saturday. At the same time, red alert has also been issued for Malappuram, Kozhikode and Wayanad districts on Sunday.

As a precautionary measure, the administration has imposed a temporary ban on entry to tourist places, night travel on hilly roads and stone mining activities in Wayanad, Kozhikode and Kasaragod.

June 6 has been declared a holiday in all educational institutions in Wayanad and Kasaragod districts. Due to heavy rains, waterlogging and flood like situation has arisen in many low lying areas of Kochi Municipal Corporation area.
