What are the train timings?
According to railway officials, the Gurumukhi Superfast Express will depart from Amb Andaura every Saturday at 6:10 AM and reach Kolkata in approximately 31 hours and 50 minutes. On the return journey, the train will depart from Kolkata every Thursday at 7:40 AM and arrive at Amb Andaura at 4:55 PM on Friday.
Stations where the train will stop
The Gurumukhi Superfast Express will pass through major stations such as Asansol, Patna Junction, Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Junction, Varanasi, Lucknow, Bareilly, Moradabad, and Saharanpur.
Who will benefit?
This new rail service will provide a better and more convenient travel option to Eastern India for residents of Una, Hamirpur, and Kangra districts in Himachal Pradesh, as well as those in surrounding areas. Anurag Thakur stated that efforts would be made in the future to extend the operations of several trains running to Ambala and Chandigarh so that they originate from Una. He added that the Central Government is continuously working towards expanding and modernizing rail facilities in the state. The operation of these trains will make travel significantly easier and more convenient for the public.
