The Estonia national football team will face the Faroe Islands in an international friendly match tonight.

The kick-off for the Estonia vs Faroe Islands encounter is scheduled for 10:00 PM WIB on Saturday (6 June 2026).

Both teams will not feature in the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2026, which will be hosted across the United States, Mexico, and Canada.

Under the guidance of Jurgen Henn, Estonia recently concluded a disappointing qualifying campaign for the summer tournament in North America, winning just one out of eight matches and finishing fourth in Group I, 20 points behind group leaders Norway.

In their last competitive outing in November, the Blueshirts suffered a 4-1 defeat to Norway before bouncing back with a 4-2 victory over Cyprus in a friendly match four days later.

Rauno Sappinen was the standout performer in that match, netting a hat-trick in the second half.

In their March friendlies, Estonia lost 2-0 to Rwanda and then fell 12-11 on penalties to Kenya after a 1-1 draw in regular time.

Meanwhile, the Faroe Islands, managed by Eydun Klakstein, also registered a win in their most recent match.

They defeated San Marino 2-1 in a friendly in March after falling short in their World Cup qualifying campaign.

The national team finished third in their qualification group, winning four out of eight matches, trailing 10 points behind group winners Croatia, who reached the 2018 FIFA World Cup final in Moscow, losing 4-2 to France.

Head-to-Head and Statistics: Estonia vs Faroe Islands

Across eight meetings in all competitions, Estonia hold a 5-2 advantage over the Faroe Islands, with three of those victories coming in competitive fixtures.

Estonia have won five of their last six matches against the Faroe Islands, including their most recent friendly encounter in 2024.

The hosts have not recorded a home victory in their last five matches — all played at the A. Le Coq Arena in Tallinn — suffering three defeats during that span.

The Faroe Islands have managed two wins in their last five away matches, one of which came during the FIFA World Cup 2026 qualifying campaign.

Match Prediction: Estonia vs Faroe Islands

Both sides recently endured unsuccessful FIFA World Cup qualifying campaigns this summer but have displayed contrasting forms in their latest fixtures.

Estonia lost their only friendly match this year, whereas the Faroe Islands triumphed in both of theirs.

Looking at their head-to-head record, the Blueshirts clearly have the upper hand, having dominated most of their recent meetings.

Although the Faroe Islands appear to be in better physical form and sit six places above Estonia (129) in the latest FIFA rankings, home advantage could play a key role, possibly giving the hosts a narrow win.

Score Prediction: Estonia 2-1 Faroe Islands
